Royal Copenhagen Commemorative plates |
|
We have listed all the plates that are published in the 1970 Royal Copenhagen book titled The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory Plates (also called "The Gray Book"). And we have continued the number listings from our own book*:
Christmas Plates from Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl by Lars Christoffersen, Owner Danish Porcelain Imports. Collectible porcelain Christmas plates have been made in Denmark by Bing & Grondahl since 1895 and by Royal Copenhagen since 1908. These and their many other popular commemorative series, including Mother's Day, Jubilee, and Children's Day plates have been cherished by generations of people all over the world.
This is the first book to bring all the plates together in one beautiful, organized reference. Over 1000 color photographs showcase every series created. Descriptions of every plate made include their English and Danish titles, date, designer, reference code numbers and current value range. Collectors, dealers, and historians alike will find the book easy to used and fun to consult because it is concise, attractive and complete. The price for the book is $45.00 and Mr. Christoffersen will sign your copy!! Click here to see the book
We do not have all of these plates in at all times so please ask about availability.
*We have continued the commemorative's list for those plates produced after the publication of "The Gray Book". In "Christmas Plates by Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl" by Lars Christoffersen, the numbers used for latter plates were given to them by Mr. Christoffersen and the DPI staff. There is no other known continuation list.
