zodiac, supremely capturing the special characteristics of each one.
Twelve girls appear in

new porcelain towers and bonbonnierès of Royal Copenhagen.
The towers are richly
ornamented and entirely in keeping with Esben Hanefelt Kristensen's
predilection for mixing Arabian, Indian, Celtic and Oriental style
elements.
The square shape of the
three towers is very difficult to produce and thus a tangible evidence
of Royal Copenhagen's 225 years pf excellent craftsmanship. |

Copenhagen Musica - Note Figurines
The artist, Monica
Ritterband, has always been fascinated by musical notation and for
many years she has been drawing and elaborating on musical notes and
treble clefs with human characteristics.
This fascination has
expressed itself in a whole family of musical notes who have become a
distinctive element in Monica Ritterband's artistic universe. The Dreamy
Note is soft and gentle, lost in a thoughtful daydream - and
rapturously in love with the Proud Note, a handsome fellow, but
a tiny bit naughty. The Dancing Note is enchanting on a dance
floor and is always greatly admired. In contrast, a dance floor is the
last place you would look for the Sofa Note, who prefers to
snuggle deep into the cushions of the sofa with a bag of sweets to
watch a good film. The Sofa Note and the Green Note are brother
and sister, but not at all alike. While the Sofa Note is an indoor
creature, the Green Note loves being outdoors, and knows all about
things that hide and rustle out in the country. This note knows where
to find mushrooms and is a brilliant cook. He loves good wine and
parties, so often the whole family are invited to a feast. The shy
little Skinny Note is invited too of course. He has a slight
stutter when he gets nervous, but he is a tough, determined little
fellow who always does his very best. |

Hannemann
Less is truly more when it comes
to the Hannemann Project. With a unique airbrush technique and simple
patterns, the tradition of handmade porcelain is both continued and taken a
step further.
The range is named the Hannemann
Project and it begins in a flower-decorated universe of blue nuances. The
flowers are collected from the Scandinavian flora and are produced with a
unique airbrush technique, which was originally developed in the beginning
of the 20th century.
The vision behind it all comes
from the artist Mette Hannemann. By equipping the porcelain with
discrete holes and string, the pieces can be hung on the wall when not in
use. Thus underlying the decorative qualities with the functionality.
The Hannemann Project consists
of 10 pieces. |

Made since 1992
Ursula is a faience coffee, tea and dinner service. The service was designed
by the ceramist Ursula Munch-Petersen, who has combined form and function.
Ursula has been in production since 1992. Ursula Munch-Petersen has created
a harmonious and yet asymmetrical set, and used colors in a new and
refreshing way. Ursula is a service that is not only simple but also
functional. Each and every detail works on its own premises and at the same
time meeting other demands. The small oval dinner plate can be used both as
a side plate, a saucer and a lid for the oval bowls. The small dish can be
used both as a bowl for olives, etc and as a lid for the jug when the
contents need to be kept warm. The jug itself is already a classic due to
its unique sculptural form. Faience is fired at relatively low temperatures,
and this makes it possible to use many different colors. The fine faience
glaze produces a special depth of color and refraction that gives the colors
intensity and luster. |
